Patronies Pizza 2625 Holden Beach, Supply, NC
We loved the decor. Alaire likes sitting at the bar. We were eating a semi late lunch so we were about the only ones in there for awhile. If you look close you can see that the light in the dining room have galvanized buckets as the shades. They also used large tomato cans over the drink center. Storing that idea away for another time.
The wood floors are beautiful. I think the building is over 100 years old. The flag display on the back wall is wains coating with pop cans cut into 50 stars. Katie Rupp, you would love it!
I had to get a shot of this sign...the girls told my Dad that he was going to have to pay $20 if he wasn't careful.
I thought the history of the Patronies was fascinating. If you click on the pics I think the print will be big enough for you to read.
What do you do while you are waiting for your pizza...make funny faces for the camera and try to make hand puppets.
Our waitress let Alaire come into the kitchen to watch the chef throw the dough to make her pizza.
I love the Formica table with the plastic covered chairs.
Mozzarella a la caprese that might have lasted 10 seconds.
Meatlovers Pizza...any and all meats were loaded on this one
Bacon, tomato and basil pizza
chicken sandwich...can you guess who ordered this one?
calzone with all kinds of cheese and spinach
Now that is what I call a PIECE of pizza.
Patronies Pizza will be another stop each year. We talked to the owners daughter...she is a school teacher and spends her summers working for her parents. A real feel good down home kind of place. We give it 5 stars and two thumbs us!
