Kraut

 

I love my new crock.  I think I have written about it before.

Ready to see if it is fermented long enough.

And he dives in.

Takes a bite...

And ends up eating two bowls.  I think he likes it but maybe when we do it again we will let it 'cook' a bit longer and add caraway seeds.

Three big heads of cabbage equal four quarts of kraut the way we pack.
