Our first attempt to eat here was not a good one.  It was packed and the wait was about four days.  So we waited a few days and tried at a different time...much better results.

We had heard from some people that live and work in Holden Beach that we must for sure try the shrimp burger.  But you can see by the menu that there is a wide variety of choices.

The first thing you have to do when you go thru the door is read the menu and order.  You can see the kitchen and they are cooking up a storm.

Almost overwhelming there are so many choices to be made.

We ordered and then walked right in to a table for ten with no problem.  The dining area is open to the canal and you can see the shrimp boats.  Pelicans standing on the docks...a real beach feel.  Ceiling fans made it comfortable on this hot day.

The shrimp burger.  The shrimp had a good taste but needed a kick in the pants.  We all decided that it needed some really good hot sauce to make it better.  I'd try it again next year but I don't think the family is up to it.  My Dad has a hard time with stairs...they do have a switchback ramp that was nice.
