The Eagle in OTR

We had a great report from the doctor so we decided to spend a little time in OTR and have some lunch.  We called our Foodie kids to see what we should try.  Neither of them were available to help so we just decided to try The Eagle.  I didn't have my big camera so these are from my cell phone.

We hit it perfectly...right before the noon rush.  I would say that I would have this artichoke and kale dip for my entrée.  It was soooo good.

The chicken sandwich was big enough for both of us.  And another great choice.  I got a pork sandwich and wished I had gotten the chicken.

But I have to say that I did make a good choice by ordering the mac and cheese.  It was so cheesy and extremely creamy!

 

I'm ready to go back.  Maybe we can make that a doctor day special....

So many wonderful choices.  Each time an order would come out, we would crane our necks to check them out.

I didn't realize that I had not take a pic until after I had finished my soup.  I had brown bean and mark had some kid of gumbo.  Both were rally good.

 Hot ham and cheese on buttered, grilled Texas toast with homemade potato chips.

 

 Buffalo chicken wrap with those good homemade chips.

 

I do not care how full I am...I can ALWAYS make room for dessert.  Today I tried a slice of hickory nut pie.  Delicious!!!  I like it so much I sent a message to the chef and asked if he would share the recipe.  Still waiting for an answer.

 

Excellent choice for lunch.  Very clean and the wait staff were very friendly and caring about our every need.  An old building with metal ceiling tiles, lots of dark wood, wonderful light fixtures, and a beautiful huge butcher block by the front door. 

 

I'm ready to go back...tomorrow!
